We've completed the second week of the legislative session. They have been busy! There have been 290 House Bills, 5 House Joint Resolutions, 183 Senate Files and 8 Senate Join Resolutions, for a total of 486 pieces of legislation. I believe this breaks all records!
You can watch live broadcasts of the floor sessions and most committee meetings by going to wyoleg.gov. On the upper left hand side, you'll find a tab for "Live and Archived Meetings".
Attached is this week's report. If you click on the far right column, you'll get the latest version of the bill with amendments if there were any. I should note that after "Position" you'll see most say "Monitor". That can change rapidly if there are amendments that we support or oppose. So please watch for our "Calls For Action" emails. I don't send those unless we really need your voice. We did find out this week that the Freedom Caucus in the House won't change their position regardless of how many emails they receive. That was unfortunate on HB 118, but we'll work to fix it in the Senate.
And as usual, please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions or concerns. Text at 307-851-1191 or email at Lurbigkit@gmail.com. Thanks! L.
